Chrome extension

Applyd, right beside the job

The extension opens in Chrome's side panel next to any job post. It reads the posting, scores your match, tailors your resume and cover letter, and fills the application. You review it and click submit.

  • No site access at install
  • Never submits a form
  • Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc

Preview of the Applyd side panel next to a job application: an 87 match score with missing keywords, buttons to tailor your resume and cover letter, autofill, and a review list showing filled fields in green and two fields to review in yellow.

On a job page

One panel, four jobs

Open the side panel on a posting and everything you need for that application is in one place, right next to the form. No tab-hopping, no copy and paste.

  1. 01

    Reads the job

Picks up the title, company and description. Edit anything it got wrong, or highlight a description and right-click “Use as job description”.

  2. 02

    Scores your match

A 0–100 score, the keywords you match and miss, and three quick wins. Clearly detected postings are scored as soon as the panel opens.

  3. 03

    Tailors your documents

Pick a template and a tone, then generate a fact-checked resume and cover letter. See keyword coverage before and after, and open the PDF.

  4. 04

    Fills the application

Fields, dropdowns, work history, education and your resume, plus drafted answers to edit. Then it lists every field for your review.

How it works on a page

From posting to ready to send

Here's what happens between opening a job and pressing submit, and where you stay in charge.

  1. 1

    Click the Applyd icon

The side panel opens beside the page. That click is what lets Applyd see this tab; nothing runs before you open the panel.

  2. 2

    It reads the posting

Title, company and description come straight from the page. If a site needs more access, like a multi-step form or an embedded application, Applyd asks first with “Enable on this site”.

  3. 3

    Score, then tailor

Your match score appears for clearly detected postings. Tailor your resume and write a cover letter with one click each.

  4. 4

    Autofill

Applyd scans the form, matches each field to your profile, drafts answers to custom questions and attaches your documents.

  5. 5

    Review, then you submit

Green is filled, yellow needs a look. Click any item in the review list to jump to it, then press the site's own submit button.

On Workday, Applyd notices each new step and can autofill it automatically. Workday's own “Save and Continue” stays your click.

Install

Set up in three steps

All in Chrome on your laptop or desktop. If you haven't uploaded your resume yet, the side panel points you to it.

  1. Add to Chrome

Start with a free account. Setup walks you through installing the extension, which asks for no site access when you add it.

  2. Pin it

Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Applyd, so it's one click away on every job post.

  3. Connect your account

Open the side panel and click “Connect account”. Sign in if asked, then click “Connect extension”. You'll see “Connected!”.

The extension keeps its own secure session: signing out of the website doesn't disconnect it. Use “Disconnect” in the side panel for that. Install guide

Permissions

Every permission, in plain English

Applyd asks Chrome for as little as it can. Here is each permission it requests, what it's for, and when it's used.

  • Side panel

    sidePanel

Shows Applyd next to the job posting. The whole interface lives here: match score, tailoring and the autofill review list.

    When you open it

  • Active tab

    activeTab

Lets Applyd read the job posting and application form of the current tab only, because you opened it from the toolbar.

    Only after your click

  • Scripting

    scripting

Adds Applyd's page reader to the current tab on demand, never automatically, to read the job, list the form's fields and fill them when you click Autofill.

    On demand

  • Storage

    storage

Keeps you signed in on this device, remembers your panel preferences (template, profile target, section filling) and briefly holds text you send from the right-click menu.

    On this device

  • Context menu

    contextMenus

Adds one item to the right-click menu: “Use as job description”, for pages Applyd can't read on its own.

    When you right-click selected text

  • Site access

    optional, per site

Requested only when you click “Enable on this site” or “Enable on supported job sites”, so Applyd keeps working across multi-step forms like Workday's and inside application forms embedded in company sites.

Only if you allow it. Revoke any time

  • Website connection

    externally_connectable

Lets the Applyd website hand your session to the extension after you click “Connect extension”. Only Applyd's own site can message it.

    When you connect

  • No site access at install

Chrome grants nothing until you open the panel on a page or allow a site yourself.

  • No remote code

Everything ships in the package. AI features call the Applyd API over HTTPS.

  • Never submits

Applyd fills the form and stops. The submit button is always yours.

Privacy

What it reads, and what it never does

The extension only looks at a page when you open the side panel there and ask it to. Your documents stay private to your account, and only you can see them.

Reads

Only when you ask

  • The job description of the posting you're viewing
  • The labels and options of the application form's fields
  • Your Applyd profile, to fill those fields

Sends to Applyd

Over HTTPS, to our API only

  • Job text and field labels, to score your match, tailor documents and work out how to fill each field
  • Counts from each autofill run, plus the labels (never the values) of fields that didn't fill, so we notice when a site's form breaks

Never

By design

  • Reads your browsing history
  • Reads pages you haven't opened it on
  • Submits a form for you
  • Puts your field values in analytics
  • Sells your data, or lets AI providers train on it
  • Downloads code from anywhere at runtime

Questions

Good to know before you install

Short answers to what people ask most about the extension. The help center has the step-by-step versions.

Visit the help center
  • Does the extension ever submit an application?

Never. It fills the form, lists every field for your review and stops. You press the site's own submit button, and on Workday its “Save and Continue” too.

  • What if Applyd can't find the job description?

Click Edit in the side panel and paste it, or highlight the description on the page, right-click and choose “Use as job description”.

  • Will it overwrite what I've already typed?

No. Fields you already filled are left alone. Tick “Overwrite fields I already filled” in the side panel if you want Applyd to replace them.

  • Autofill didn't do anything. Why?

Chrome may need your permission for that site. Click “Enable on this site” in the side panel, then try again. If a field still won't fill, check your profile has that information.

  • How do I disconnect or remove site access?

Click “Disconnect” in the side panel to sign the extension out; signing out of the website doesn't do it. Site access can be revoked any time in Chrome's extension settings.

  • Something didn't fill correctly. Can I tell you?

Please do: use “Report a problem” in the side panel. It sends us the site and field counts, never your answers, so we can fix it for everyone.
