Three tools, no account

Each one does a single job well. None of them asks for your email, and none of them keeps your resume.

  • 01Free · no sign-up

    ATS resume checker

Upload your resume and get an instant 0–100 readiness score, with a specific fix for anything that could trip up an applicant tracking system.

    What it checks

    • Text an ATS can read
    • Standard headings
    • Email and phone up top
    • Bullets with real numbers
    • One date format
    • One column, no icons

PDF or DOCX up to 5 MB. Read in memory, then discarded — your file is never stored.

  • 02Free · no sign-up

    Resume keyword match

Paste a job description and your resume. See which of the posting's keywords you already cover, which are missing, and the description highlighted so you can find them.

    What it finds

    • Skills and tools screened for
    • Certifications like BLS or PMP
    • Phrases the posting repeats
    • Coverage as a 0–100 score
    • Missing vs. found keywords
    • The posting, highlighted

Runs entirely in your browser — your text never leaves the page.

  • 03Free · no sign-up

    Cover letter examples

6 original letters for common roles — each with tips before you write, the full example, and notes on why it works.

    Roles covered

    • Software Engineer
    • Registered Nurse
    • Sales Representative
    • Marketing Manager
    • Customer Service Representative
    • Data Analyst

Nothing to upload. The candidates and companies are fictional — use them as a model for your own facts.

Under the hood

How the ATS checker scores you

No AI and no guesswork: 14 fixed checks run on the plain text an applicant tracking system would see. The same file always gets the same score.

  1. Every check carries a weight

Readable text counts the most. The file name barely moves the needle.

  2. Pass, warning or fail

A pass earns the check's full weight, a warning earns half, a fail earns nothing.

  3. Unreadable means unreadable

If fewer than 150 words can be read — typical of a scanned or image-only resume — the score can't go above 20.

What happens to your resume

The free tools are built to forget. Here's exactly what each one does with what you give it.

ATS resume checker

On our server, in memory
  1. Sent over HTTPS

Your PDF or DOCX travels encrypted, like all traffic to Applyd.

  2. Checked before it's opened

Identified by its contents, not its name, and capped at 5 MB.

  3. Read in memory

Text is extracted with a 15-second limit and run through the checks.

  4. Report back, file gone

You get the report. The file and its text are discarded, never saved.

What we keep

A usage count with the score and file type — never the file or its text.

Resume keyword match

In your browser
  1. Pasted into the page

Your resume text and the job description stay in this browser tab.

  2. Compared on your device

Keywords are found and matched by code running in your browser.

  3. Results shown, nothing sent

Coverage, missing keywords and the highlighted posting appear instantly.

What we keep

A count that the tool was used — never your text.

No account or email address needed for any tool. The cover letter examples are simply pages to read.

Cover letter examples

Letters that actually get read

Short, specific, honest. Every example is original, written for a real kind of role, and comes with notes on what makes it work.
